Dr. Sylvia Cerel-Suhl 84C

Sylvia spends most of her time as an educator and volunteer in the greater Lexington area. Some of her work includes, serving as a co-investigator for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Director of Oragami4Mind and Founder of Kids Art 4 Hearts. She has served in many roles with the American Heart Association over her career and has also served as a faculty member at the University of Kentucky in Family and Community Medicine. Her research areas include cognitive and neuroscience research and clinical research.
She graduated in the first class of Woodruff Scholars from Emory College, then called the Eponymous Scholars. Sylvia attended Standford School of Medicine. She is passionate about healthcare and using art, origami, and creativity- to bring joy, brain training, health messages and improved mood to people of all ages.
