Tina Anderson Smith 90Ox 92C 99PH
As a frontline practitioner, applied researcher, and consultant, Tina Anderson Smith helps others address seemingly intractable challenges. Drawing on her background in policy, organizational development, evaluation, complexity theory, system dynamics, and community development, she helps design and evaluate initiatives that have “many moving parts”. Tina specializes in cross-sector collaboration, rapid-cycle learning and adaptive leadership to bring order to what may feel like chaos. The topics she addresses range from public health to education; from housing and hunger to transportation; from gentrification to environmental issues. She is intentional about spanning issues and scales because she sees the problems people are trying to solve as inherently interdependent. Perpetually curious, Smith acknowledges there is always something more to learn or understand to do the “next thing” well.
Her clients include academic research centers, non-profit organizations, foundations, state and federal agencies, and for-profit companies nationally and internationally.
Tina lives with her family in Atlanta. Her interests include a range of art forms including painting, textiles, ikebana, dance, and djembe (though she doesn’t get to do them all as often as she would like). Tina has completed certifications in human systems dynamics (HSDP) and mediation. She is currently enrolled in a Painting Certificate program at the Rhode Island School of Design.
